What is the Skin Health program?

The Skin Health program is a physician-guided program for people who want healthier-looking skin and want to understand what is behind their skin concerns, such as breakouts, dryness, dullness, uneven tone or changes with age.

It looks at your skin from the inside as well as the outside, including sleep, stress, nutrition, hormones and your current routine, with a plan and follow-ups instead of guesswork.

What are the potential benefits?

Causes, not just symptoms
Your physician looks at what may be driving your skin concerns, from hormones and stress to sleep and nutrition.
A routine that makes sense
A review of the products you use now, so you keep what helps and stop what may be making things worse.
Tests when they matter
Laboratory tests collected at home, such as hormone panels, when your physician requests them.
Progress you can see
Photos taken at follow-ups help compare how your skin changes over time.
The right care at the right time
Referral to a dermatologist or in-person care when that would serve you better.

How does it work?

Your skin renews itself all the time, with new cells moving up to replace old ones over several weeks. That renewal, and the barrier that keeps moisture in and irritants out, are affected by hormones, stress, sleep, sun, nutrition and what you put on your skin.

The program works on those layers together:

It looks after the skin barrier
A gentle, consistent routine helps the barrier hold moisture and calm irritation, which is often where dryness and sensitivity start.
It looks at hormones
Hormone shifts can drive breakouts and oiliness, especially along the jaw and chin, and tests, if requested, can show whether they play a part.
It counts sleep and stress
Stress hormones and poor sleep can trigger flare-ups and slow the skin’s repair.
It considers nutrition
Skin relies on protein, healthy fats and vitamins to build and repair itself, and some people notice links with certain foods.
It respects the sun
Daily sun exposure is one of the biggest causes of uneven tone and early aging, so sun protection is part of the plan.

Because skin renews over weeks, consistency matters more than any single product, and follow-ups keep you on track.

What should I expect during the program?

At the start
An explanation of what may be affecting your skin, a review of your routine and a simple plan to begin.
As you go
Regular follow-ups to compare photos and adjust the plan, since skin takes time to respond.
Throughout
A routine you can keep, and referral when in-person care is the better route. Results vary from person to person.

Who it may suit

This program may suit you if:

  • You have ongoing skin concerns and want a physician’s view.
  • You want to understand what may be contributing to them.
  • You want follow-up, not a one-off recommendation.

Your physician will tell you if the program is not suitable for you, or if in-person care would serve you better.

New, changing or bleeding moles, or a sudden severe rash, need prompt in-person care. This program does not replace it.

What’s included

Every part of the program is led or requested by your physician.

Your physician
A PRC-licensed physician reviews your history and goals, and decides what is clinically appropriate for you.
Regular follow-ups
Your care team reviews how you are doing and the plan is adjusted as you go.
Laboratory tests
Only if your physician requests them, based on your assessment. Not everyone needs them. Your sample is collected at home and a physician reviews every result.
